									Maggie Williams is a member of the class of 
                                    2005 at Columbia Law School. Starting in September 
                                    2005 she will launch a Voter 
                                    Re-Enfranchisement Project at The Bronx 
                                    Defenders. The project will incorporate an 
                                    educational component regarding existing 
                                    ex-offender voting rights in New York and 
                                    the importance of civic participation into 
                                    criminal defense services. Prior to law 
                                    school, Maggie worked in the field of public 
                                    health, providing HIV and sex education to 
                                    community groups and students in Kenya and 
                                    San Francisco. She graduated from Yale 
                                    University in May of 2000 with a B.A. in 
                                    History.</div>
