LAILA HLASS
Project Manager laila@impact2004.org Laila Hlass is is member of the class of 2006 at Columbia Law School. Laila was a founding member of Impact, and served as the Communications Director during the 2004 election. As a Public Interest Law Fellow, Laila plans to use her law degree to advocate for people's constitutional and civil rights. Besides serving as project director and board member for IMPACT, Laila is on the Board of Columbia's Public Interest Law Foundation, which awards student fellowships and community organization grants and was a staff editor of the Human Rights Law Review. Before coming to Columbia, Laila spent two years working for Citizen Works, a citizen empowerment organization. While at Citizen Works, she served as office manager, interim development director and webmaster. She graduated from Rice University in 2001 with a B.A. in History and Studio Art. |
